Reasons you Copy and Paste work that isn't yours

Plagiarism is one of the major factors to consider when writing an article or any other material. It is described as the act of using someone else’s work or creative text as your own. Every writer has experienced this challenge at some point in their career especially beginners. All forms of writing demand new ideas structured together as requested by the client. Developing fresh ideas can be burdensome to writers creating a need to source information from different writers. Here, a writer is supposed to conduct a detailed research to come up with unique work. However, the end product of their work can contain similarities with some research sources used.

The reason for this could be

The reason for this could be poor research skills which result to a surge in the level of plagiarism in an article. Using a single source will always limit a writer to a particular idea which can be repetitive in their work. It is advisable for them to take their time when conducting research and go through various sources that will help them come up with something unique. Other clients may provide materials you can use for your advantage.

Another factor that contributes to plagiarism is direct copying from sources. When writing an article or a text, the writer should always avoid directly picking sentences or phrases and fixing them into their work. No matter how much it connects to your flow of ideas, it still remains to be another person's work. People who copy and paste information are not usually after authenticity of their work instead, are interested in fulfilling other requirements such as word count. To avoid direct copying and pasting, you should take notes as you read through a source to grasp the main idea before you commence writing.

Reasons For Copy and Pasting work that isn't yours

When crafting an article, you must understand the instructions given and the questions you’re required to answer. Mostly, writers present plagiarized work because they fail to understand the topics they should be addressing in their work. For this reason, they end up collecting information and fixing it up only to realize they’ve produced plagiarized work. Correcting such documents can be so difficult and hectic too. In such cases, the person should seek for clarifications to further their understanding before they can begin working on an article.

People are compelled to quote others in their texts which is also a contributing factor to plagiarism. If possible, avoid using quotes instead, you can paraphrase the information but ensure the main idea remains intact. Failing to edit your work after writing can also contribute to some extent. When you proofread and correct sentences, you reduce the chances of developing similar concepts as those obtained from research materials. Therefore, to produce accurate, unique information, it is imperative that you invest your time and focus all attention on your text. Concentration as you write will provide you with the flow of ideas hence reducing the chances of plagiarizing. No writer is perfect, but, they all differ in the effort put to their work to keep it simple and unique.
